This is dedicated to the memory of my friend & long-time distant road dawg: Scout. I wrote this entire song 10 years ago during my 3 month stay on the highest hill in Mendocino. This was my first REAL farm experience after moving from VA to the west coast in 2013, & also where I co-crafted my second lapel pin design which I affectionately called: "Weed Wings" - now the basis for this song's art.

The lyrics were inspired by the various experiences from my time on this hill, & and if any of you hearing this tune have ever been on a Cali hill... then I feel confident you can relate to the story.

It took me a DECADE to find a female vocalist to finally take the mic and sing the chorus lyrics with me, since this was my original intention with my composition forethought. That artist ended up being @emily.-.ra , who's influence helped inspire these words to lift off the page, and onto the record. With the combined influence of all the prolific artists living with me at the time ( Gizmo , Rhymewave , @emily Ra , & Flying Caravan ), & the inspiration of the pristine forest and raging river on the land I resided blossoming in spring at Wooden Bridge, I finally had all the physics and metaphysics aligned to engineer what is before you today, this published release known as: "Weed Mountain".

This song was written before I even released my first album "The Hex Wrecker", which is still technically not on Spotify. P.S. - I do not advocate the validity of propaganda terms such as "weed", or "marijuana" - I prefer the precise term: "Cannabis". "Weed Mountain" was the original project name I wrote for this song long ago, so I decided to keep it for tribute. No lyrics were altered since written in early 2014.
